The Dedham Arts Group was founded in 1967 by a few local amateur artists who enjoyed painting for pleasure. We carry on the tradition by meeting regularly to paint together and to exhibit our work.

The Chairperson, elected in January 2017 is Angella Horner, FRSA, who also runs the CO3 Studios in Colchester.  For further information about Angella please click on her name or go to the Members' Pages.

There is normally no tuition and members are encouraged to help one another. However, some workshops and demonstrations do take place with visiting professional artists.

We meet twice monthly on Tuesday mornings at Stratford St Mary Institute or on Thursday afternoons at The Assembly Rooms in Dedham High Street.  In the summer months we meet to paint at carefully selected venues (members make their own way there).

The annual subscription is £25, payable from January to January, but reduced by 50% for new members joining after 1st September. When we have demonstrations and workshops run by professional artists members may bring guests. There is a small charge for such sessions, usually £5, for each person.

New members will receive a copy of the Constitution and the current programme.

PERSONAL DETAILS: members’ contact details are needed by the DAG committee to help with the administration of the group.  No personal details will be shared beyond the committee members.
